The sun is low over Benasque. The air is cold. Your shoes are still clean, but not for long. We meet in Barcelona, then drive into the Pyrenees, where the big peaks wait.

I am Dreama Walton. I am an Air Force veteran, a mum, and I have run trails for over fourteen years. I have raced Western States and Leadville, and I have led teams up Kilimanjaro. Now I want to run these mountains with you.

Over seven days you will join a team and move through wild, high ground. On day two we climb above Cerler, with the Aneto massif in full view (15 km, up and down 1,200 m). We run easy miles in the Posets-Maladeta park. We trace the Añisclo Canyon in Ordesa and Monte Perdido, 17 km with a thousand metres of climb, then the Pineta sector the next day. Some days are long. Your legs will burn on the climbs. That is the point.

We will not just run. We will eat together, taste local food, and share a farewell dinner in Bielsa. Those who stay on head into the Cotiella Massif and the Gistaín valley, where we cook Spanish dishes by hand and sleep in a rural house. A local guide, trained for this terrain, stays with us the whole way.

Picture the last climb. Your breath is loud. The valley opens below, green and far. You stop, and for a moment the whole range is yours.

  • I'll take you through it.

Dreama is on the same trail as you every day — out front, firing you up, and getting the group through the difficult bits together.

  • Difficult on purpose.

These days are meant to be difficult. They're the ones you talk about for years — and you get through them together.

  • Apply to join the team.

We pick the team carefully — attitude and fitness both matter — so everyone on the trail belongs there and is ready for the difficult days.

The moment

Day four. We reach the top of the Añisclo Canyon trail, legs burning from the climb, and the whole Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park opens up below us. We stand together, catching our breath, and you realize you just did something really difficult—and everyone is grinning at the view.

Before you go

This doesn't start on day one. When you join the team you get a training plan for the weeks before, coaching to get you ready, and a team space to meet the people you'll go with. By the time you arrive, you'll know you can do it.

Apply to join

We read every application. Small group — and I want to get the group right. If this sounds like you, apply below.

Takes about sixty seconds. We'll WhatsApp you straight away.

How the week builds

Day 1

Day 1 starts in Barcelona. I will meet you at the airport. From there we drive north to Benasque, a small mountain town. You will settle in at Hostal El Pilar. No running yet. Just the long road, the peaks growing taller, and the quiet feel of the Pyrenees waiting outside your window.

Day 2

Day two, we head to Cerler. Then we run the Estibafreda trail together. It is 15 km, with 1,200 m up and 1,200 m back down. Your legs will feel every metre. But the Aneto massif opens up wide around you. We sleep back at Hostal El Pilar. Those big peaks stay in your head.

Day 3

Day 3 is the easy one. We leave Benasque for Llanos del Hospital. You'll join a team on a gentle run through Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. It is 14 km, up 450 m and back down. Then lunch in Benasque. We drive to Aínsa for a free afternoon. Old stone streets, slow steps, legs still humming.

Day 4

Day 4 starts with a transfer from Aínsa to Añisclo Canyon. We run in Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, the Añisclo sector. It is 17 km, with +1,000 m up and -1,000 m down. Hard, honest climbing. Then we transfer to Bielsa and rest at Hotel Monte Perdido. Big peaks, tired legs, quiet evening.

Day 5

Day five, we head to Espierba. Then we run the Pineta sector of Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. It is 15 km, with 1,070 m up and 1,070 m down. Your legs will burn. We drive back to Bielsa for a farewell dinner. Tonight we sleep at Hotel Monte Perdido, tired and proud.

Day 6

Day 6 is where the Ultra group pushes on. We transfer from Bielsa to Chistau. Then we run an easy route through the Cotiella Massif (10 km, +800 m, -800 m). After, we taste local products. We drive to Gistaín and sleep in a rural house. That night, we gather round a group barbecue. Smoke, food, and mountain air.

Day 7

Day 7 is our last big run. We head into the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park for a trail of 19 km, with +1,200 m up and 950 m down. Your legs will feel the week. That night we cook traditional Spanish dishes together at the house. Full plates, tired feet, the mountains still in your head.

Day 8

Day 8 is the last one. You will wake up and eat a good breakfast with the team. Then we drive back to Barcelona. The trails are behind us now, but the miles stay in your legs. One last look at the Pyrenees in the mirror, going quiet.
